Customer Rating: Summary: Nice gift for the nieces Comment: I shipped this straight to my twin nieces so I am rating based on what their mom told me. It was a good educational gift for Christmas.
Customer Rating: Summary: It's all about the bugs! Comment: I bought this for my 4 year old son for Christmas. What can I say? Melissa and Doug lives up to the expectation every time. My son worked on it all by himself; and then laid on the floor looking at every bug and of course there was a story to go along with each bug! He was proud of himself that he could complete it on his own. The pieces are big for little hands and durable. This is a great item and I can tell you that each time he gets it out, I can count on him being busy for awhile...but it is also a great thing for us to do together and talk about the bugs! Although I am not allowed to put the pieces into place without his consent! Great Item!! I ended up buying this for another 4 year old for a birthday gift and was told it was a hit!
Customer Rating: Summary: Challenging, Beautiful Puzzle! Comment: My 3-year-old has a great time with this puzzle. It is the right degree of fun and challenge for him. I only wish these Melissa & Doug puzzles would come in boxes that are easier to open -- perhaps a top-open with a cloth tab. The boxes are now difficult for both me and my child to open. We also have Farm Animals and Solar System floor puzzles. He is able to do them virtually on his own! And learn a lot from the pictures as well.
Customer Rating: Summary: Great for Seniors Comment: This is a great puzzle! I am an Activity Director in a Dementia Unit. This is great to use right on the table for a group of residents. Some of the residents can sort the pieces by color and some pick the edge pieces to help with putting the puzzle together. The pieces are large enough for them and the picture is great for adults or children.
Customer Rating: Summary: beautiful puzzle Comment: Rarely can you find such a beautiful puzzle. My almost 2 year old daughter and her 4 1/2 year brother love it (although they need my help). She is obsessed with puzzles too advanced for her age but this helps because the pieces are large (approx. 4"). He names the bugs, they are both proud because of the size and amount of action in it.
