Summary: My granddaughter loves this easel!
Comment: This easel is great, especially when used with the rolls of paper. I'm not crazy about the chalk board portion, but my granddaughter doesn't use that so much. I wish the spaces provided for markers had been made deeper, but overall this was the best easel I could find.

Comment: I'm not understanding what is so terrible about this easel. We've owned it for three years now and haven't had a problem. The only thing that I can complain about are those multi-colored plastic clips. They are terrible and will break upon opening. They serve no purpose as they do not work. This product would be better off without them. You can easily remedy this situation by going to your local office supply store to buy new art clips. As for the chalkboard, at first it is harder to write on. However, it does work it may just take a few initial masterpieces to get it started. Three years later this easel is perfect and allows children to write/draw beautifully and is the cause of many giggles in our home. You can still wipe it clean and make it look new after all these uses. Great product.

Comment: My grandson loves to "make art". So an easel was a no brainer for Christmas...but which one? I read all the reviews on so many and decided on this one because of all the functions it provides and the price was better than anywhere I've seen it! I've seen this easel sell in stores and on Ebay for $50+. One mistake we made was waiting until 3am Christmas eve to put it together...LOL I had to wake up my 17 yr old "Bob Vila" daughter to put it together. I thought, oh, maybe 4 to 5 snap together pieces...no MANY pieces that screw together....but it was easy enough for her and it is absolutely FANTASTIC! SO WELL MADE! He has played with it everyday since Christmas and has gotten everyone in the family to do paintings and drawings along with him. He is learning his letters....he's soon to be 6....and spelling and loves leaving messages for the family on the chalk board. This is a wonderful, creative toy....as I said very well made.

Comment: This is a well made easel for any age child. It was easy to assemble. I have found all of Melissa and Doug products are well worth the price. I got this at the sale price and that made it even better. It is adjustable so our little one age 20 months and our 4 year olds can use it. Lots of fun, ageless toy. Highly recommend
